SPRING, TX
Spring sits at the crossroads of Harris County’s northern suburbs — close enough to the Energy Corridor for a manageable commute, established enough to have a diverse housing stock that spans from 1970s-era brick ranches to newer builds near the Grand Parkway. Knowing which era you’re buying into matters.
Derek Myhand brings 20-plus years of construction experience to every inspection and holds a TREC License (#26263) and InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) designation. Every inspection is his personal work, with a written report delivered the same day.
What to look for in Spring homes
Older housing stock from the 1980s and 1990s commonly shows aging HVAC systems, original plumbing, and roofing materials nearing the end of useful life. Newer homes closer to the 99 loop should be inspected for grading, drainage, and workmanship quality. Moisture and foundation movement related to local soils are also frequent findings.
Derek covers all of it and explains the results in plain language.
